Waken Connect Transform Workshop - Your Boundaries

We invite you to take part in our (long overdue) return to delivering workshops in Edinburgh.

Our workshops focus on the triad of Waken Connect Transform - as we invite you to waken more consciously into your daily life, connect more fully with yourself and the world around you, and continue to transform your whole experience.

In our February workshop we will cover an introduction to Your Boundaries, through a series of gentle and accessible activities - individually, in pairs, and in groups. We will touch on deepening awareness of our body, mind and heart, and we will explore the boundaries we set for ourselves and others. At all times you are free to participate as much as you wish, and if you feel more comfortable just observing any of the activities, that will be fully respected.

Love is all around us and within us, and yet we can too often forget this, forget to gather some in, to nourish ourselves and to share the abundance that we can tap into at any time. Loving and nourishing ourselves means that we can more readily release emotions stuck in our body, more easily and authentically connect with our breath, our body and each other, and we can move into new ways of nurturing our being and that of our neighbour. We offer you this safe and welcoming workshop to learn and explore ways of releasing trapped emotions from the body, connecting more closely with your heart, your soul and each other, and taking another step into liberation. 

In this workshop there will be a range of individual and partner/group activities. Bruce and I have returned from our summer ISTA experiences and have decided to have fun this month with the Sound of Sovereignty in our workshop. We will continue our recent theme of using our voices and breath to explore the power of sound energy and its connection to our own sense of self and sovereignty. We will be using exercises in conscious loving touch and movement to bring us into further connection with ourselves and each other and there will be time to meditate, explore Ki and dance. 

At all times you are free to participate as much as you wish, and if you feel more comfortable observing exercises, that will be respected. All exercises and fully clothed. Consent and boundary work is paramount in this space.

It’s Springtime and the time is right to breathe new life, cultivate your energy, and grow unleash your sound. This workshop focuses on Your Sound. Knowing the source and power of your sound is an essential tool for transformational growth. Each body has a sound that needs to be expressed as part of emotional release, be it pleasure, curiosity, grief, rage or be it sighing, yawning, laughing and so forth. Sound combined with the breath can be created by the body to attune centres of energy, life force, helping to reduce feelings of anxiety, overwhelm, body pain and fear, or build creativity and an open relaxed awareness. Sound from the body, just as sound coming to the body, can bring great benefits to health and wellbeing. Combining a variety of sounding exercises with breath and Ki awareness and cultivation we will also encourage you to move your body and Raise the Energy.

Our Next Workshop is on Saturday the 2nd of December.
